INSTALLATION WORK

Installation Gallery 263 Cambridge, MA 2012

The ideas I have chosen to explore in my installation revolve around my encounter with the ways in which the Mexican culture humanize death. How that permeates the underlying foundation of their beliefs and frees them to just be here in the act of celebration of life in the here and now. In my Installation I used paper maché in response to the traditional Mexican handcraft of creating sculptures, masks, piñatas and dolls.
